We also learned something during the month of January that I could have lived without knowing... Marble will warp within 24 hours. The bathtub in our bathroom has a marble tub surround that was knocked out of place while the bathroom was being cleaned. We had often talked about changing out the white faucet but knew that it would be more difficult than a regular faucet and having the tub surround knocked out gave us the opportunity to replace the faucet. I figured that after the faucet was replaced, the plumber would simply put it back in place. Not so much... The faucet was easily replaced and looks fantastic. I simply had to find someone to fix the surround. But, who? Tile people don't replace marble surrounds. Only marble people fix surrounds and there are not many of them. The first one I found stood us up and never called. Out of desperation, I called the people that closed Tom's office off and told them the story. They directed me to someone who then directed me to the company that finally fixed the marble. That is when we learned that it warps within 24 hours. Hmm... Lesson learned.
