Regaining Control

It is hard to believe that school has been out for almost 3 weeks already! My last day at school was June 9 and I have hardly had a chance to slow down! It has gotten so out of control that I have purchased a notebook planner so that I can see the entire month. I have one that I used at work but my life outside of work has gotten so hectic that I need one for me, personally. My other organization tool is the whiteboard calendar that I have hung up in the laundry room. It will be nice to be able to glance at the calendar on the way out of the door and know what I have to do and where we need to be during the day.

After school got out, Lauryn had recital and we had both parents in town. We lucked out to have all 3 performances in one night! Last year, it was spread over 2 days. The dance gods were smiling down on us this year! Lauryn did a great job on stage and that momentum just pushed her into the weekend. Two days after recital, Lauryn began the audition process for Kingwood Jazz & Company. The audition required her to choreograph her own one minute routine and learn 4 dances in 3 hours. She then had to return to the studio on Saturday and perform the 5 routines. At the end of the day, we were the proud parents of one of the newest members of the Kingwood Jazz & Company.

Jazz Co is all that she has talked about for years so I am looking forward to this experience. It looks like she will be dancing at least 8 hours a week through the whole summer. She truly loves the time in the studio and I am also thankful because 2 of her friends also made Jazz Co so she will be with a few older girls she already knew and some friends from dance that auditioned with her.

My personal accomplishment so far this summer has been a long time coming. We have lived in Houston for almost 5 years and I have finally gotten all of the walls decorated - with the exception of one wall above the fireplace. I am so proud of the house finally feeling put together! My motivation has been the impending visit from Sam, Adam, and Ainsley. Maybe they should have come out sooner...

Seeing some friends

Yesterday me my mom and dad saw our dear friends Liz and Garth, and there little baby boy aka

Holden. First we went to Chuy's my mom's FAV restraunt. L8R our appetizers arivved so we ate

and Holden was just too adorable for words. Then our actual food arivved so we all ate Holden ate some but he didn't eat alot because his rice that he ate with his food we think might have been

a little spicy,so some of my salad I didn't eat I slowly fed to Holden. So again L8R we went over to there house and had some brownies and me and Holden just played and chalked, Ha! When it

was time for him to go to bed at eight well really seven-thirty but anyway I got to rock him to sleep.It was fun I guess I really am a good babysitter! Plus a good dancer with Fenway! YAY!

Waco

Yesterday we went to waco for a wedding to see my moms friend Lisa get married to the groom [Clayton] he is very nice my moms friend used to work with her in Austin I do not want to go to Waco again to countryish!

Lauryn blogging

I fear mrs.missy prissy [Lauryn] will be taking over the blog so well, I am sort of happy that she will take over I never update the blog anyway YAY! Sort of.

I, Lauryn made it into a compettitive group called Kingwood Jazz and Company I'm very proud of

myself it is amazing how much I've down for the past 5 years.I'll be doing competitions over the year so if your close to us or your family don't be suprised if you get a phone call asking if you could come watch a competition or nationals in Galveston.
